In the opinion of Gan Jiayue, CEO of Geely Automobile Group, the competition for the development of new energy vehicles has entered the "second half" of intelligence, with clear strategic goals, good resources, good advantages, continuous change and innovation, and a more open mind to embrace the world, so that enterprises can take off again.
The main line of new energy is becoming increasingly clear
In the second half of 2018, Geely’s development momentum was good, but it threw out the "to survive" point of view. "Why? Because we are keenly aware that it will become more and more difficult later. Especially after 2020, we are deeply aware that the era of new energy vehicles will come faster and faster." Gan Jiayue said.
In 2021, Geely proposed "two blue Geely action plans", namely hybrid and pure electric paths. Geely’s new energy development main line is increasingly clear.
"The first half of the competition for new energy vehicles is Sandian, and the second half is intelligent. If Geely does not fall behind in the first half, how can it do a better job in the second half?" Gan Jiayue replied that after the "yes" and "no" problems are solved, the "good" or "bad" problems need to be solved, which is Geely’s strength in car building. Gan Jiayue said that the development of automobiles is no longer limited to single-line technological innovation, but multi-technology integration and innovation of artificial intelligence, non-sensory interaction, heaven and earth communication, and cross-border interconnection capabilities. In the first half of 2023, Geely sold 158,000 new energy products, an increase of 43.9% year-on-year, and the proportion of new energy vehicle sales increased from 17.9% in the same period last year to 22.7%.

Create a full-stack self-developed technology moat
The upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games are attracting the attention of the world. The model uses a 1.5T token super-large-scale Chinese dataset to make the conversation between people and cars smoother, the car machine is smarter, and the second knows the second response.
The pace of expanding the global market will also be faster and more stable: Geely brand to continue to deepen the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Latin America and other major markets, start the operation of the Mexican market, focusing on breaking through Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand and other markets; speed up the transformation of Eastern European market operations, to achieve high-quality development.
