Hongqi brand cars sold more than 200,000 cars in 2020, achieving a three-year leap-forward growth. "Hongqi" is not only a national brand created by FAW, but also a silhouette of the development history of China’s automobile industry, and also embodies the struggle history of countless FAW people in response to the call of the party and the country.
Putting promising young people in key positions
"We will continue to work with the goal of’building an excellent body and building an excellent team ‘, in terms of quality improvement, efficiency improvement, team building, digital intelligence transformation, etc., to revitalize the’red flag’, strengthen FAW, and contribute to building an automotive power and a manufacturing power!" In recent years, FAW has adhered to the principle of party management of cadres, given full play to the leadership and gatekeeping role of the party committee in selecting and employing people, and formulated a series of measures to promote and hire a group of young cadres who are brave enough to charge and take on key positions.

In 2020, FAW achieved 3.706 million vehicle sales, an increase of 7.1% year-on-year; operating income of 697.40 billion yuan, an increase of 12.9% year-on-year; profit of 46.80 billion yuan, an increase of 6% year-on-year, becoming the only large automobile enterprise group in the automobile industry to achieve rapid growth in sales, income and profit.
