  Hongqi brand cars sold more than 200,000 cars in 2020, achieving a three-year leap-forward growth. "Hongqi" is not only a national brand created by FAW, but also a silhouette of the development history of China’s automobile industry, and also embodies the struggle history of countless FAW people in response to the call of the party and the country.

  Putting promising young people in key positions

  Liu Xin said that the "four abilities" reform has improved the original employment mechanism, fully stimulated the vitality of enterprises, and allowed young people who dare to take the initiative to undertake goals and can achieve goals to enter management positions.

  In recent years, FAW has adhered to the principle of party management of cadres, given full play to the leadership and gatekeeping role of the party committee in selecting and employing people, and formulated a series of measures to promote and hire a group of young cadres who are brave enough to charge and take on key positions.

  The FAW Party Committee has also established a responsibility training platform, and the management positions can be competitive. The selection of party affairs positions selects the best.   In 2020, FAW achieved 3.706 million vehicle sales, an increase of 7.1% year-on-year; operating income of 697.40 billion yuan, an increase of 12.9% year-on-year; profit of 46.80 billion yuan, an increase of 6% year-on-year, becoming the only large automobile enterprise group in the automobile industry to achieve rapid growth in sales, income and profit.

  In order to stimulate the new momentum of party members, cadres, employees and party branches, in addition to salary incentives, FAW has continued to increase honorary incentives, and widely carried out honorary commendations, typical deeds publicity and other activities. In the past three years, a total of more than 200 outstanding cadres have been awarded the honorary title of group company model worker and selected for the red list of major activities. At the same time, 16 measures for caring for cadres have been formulated, and protection mechanisms such as cadre health care cards, growth care cards, and life care networks have been established and improved.

  Make party building a powerful engine for business development

  Recently, the Party Branch of the Electronic and Electrical Research Institute of the FAW R & D General Institute of Intelligent Networking Development Institute organized a theoretical special project study with the theme of "Civilized and Clean Festival".   In the FAW R & D General Institute alone, there are still many red and specialized teams like the Party Branch of the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. 62 branches have carried out the "one branch, one brand" action in an all-round way.
